1. Overview & Commitment

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy applies to all mobile and desktop applications operated by **Kalpesh Mahajan** (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including **SplitMoney** and **GitIdentity**.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account & Profile Information: When registering for SplitMoney, we collect your name, email address, and optional avatar image to create and secure your user account.

B. Shared Expense & Group Data: To perform money-splitting computations, we process group names, participant lists, expense transaction items, currency, and settlement records created within the app.

C. Local Biometrics & Security Lock: SplitMoney includes optional Passcode and Biometric lock capabilities (Fingerprint, Touch ID, Face ID). **All biometric verification happens strictly on your device via Android BiometricPrompt and iOS LocalAuthentication APIs.** Fingerprints, face models, and passcodes are NEVER sent to our servers or stored in our database.

D. Optional Permissions: Camera access is used solely when scanning receipt QR codes or picking a profile image.

3. Data Security & Storage

All communications between your mobile device and backend servers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard **TLS / HTTPS (SSL)** encryption. User authentication tokens are securely stored in native hardware-backed keychains (Android Keystore / iOS Secure Store). We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third-party advertisers.

4. User Data Deletion Rights

You retain full control over your data. You may delete expenses or leave groups directly inside the app. If you wish to permanently delete your SplitMoney account and all associated server records, send an email request to geekykalpesh@gmail.com. Your account and stored data will be erased within 30 days.

5. Copyright & Intellectual Property Notice

All contents of SplitMoney, GitIdentity, and related software — including source code, branding, logos, icons, interface designs, and documentation — are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or modification without written permission is strictly prohibited.
